Project development
It all starts with an idea. We begin with sketches, prototypes, and tests of shape and proportion. What size is needed to be practical without becoming cumbersome? How should the shoulder strap hang to be comfortable? Where should the internal pockets be positioned? The details are studied , tested , and revised . The design must be beautiful and functional: we want to create accessories that truly accompany you on any occasion.
Expert advice
The bags are created by expert artisans who work with vegetable leather and innovative materials . They have mastered the secrets of stitching, know how to treat cactus fiber, and understand which thread works best. This is how we work, with comprehensive expert advice , always open to anything. Material selection
Before working with even a single centimeter of fabric, we carefully select the materials . We check the certifications , verify the origin , touch the fibers firsthand, learn about their history , and determine whether they respect and reflect our sustainability values . There's organic hemp , cactus fiber , apple and orange peels , corn, and recycled PET . We choose the best sustainable materials for our bags, because they're the beginning of everything, of our new beginning: offering vegan and sustainable alternatives in the fashion industry, free from animal cruelty.
Assembly
We dedicate a lot of time to assembly, the phase where the pieces are cut and ready, and it's time to see a new Anema Bags come to life : the internal linings, the pockets, the reinforcements. We rely once again on our artisanal method, made up of people who monitor every detail, every millimeter, to offer only the best.
Sewing
The sewing machine is always on in the workshop. The assembled pieces transform into a bag, and then there are the needles, the precisely drawn lines. The seams must be straight, the stitches regular and consistent. Sometimes they remain visible and become part of the design, of what the bag truly is. We work following the rhythm of the machine, but it is our hands that guide the process.
Check and finish
The bag is ready, but the work doesn't end there. The final stage of packaging begins, the finishing phase, which strives to guide us toward excellence: we check the stitching and any threads, and test the zippers. The pockets must open easily, the edges must be carefully finished, the surfaces must be clean. The attention to detail can be seen and felt: a well-crafted bag is a pleasure to hold, to use, and to look at. It's the final check that tells us it's ready to be yours .
Packaging
Packaging is the final touch, the moment the bag reaches your hands. The box contains a scrap of the chosen material, because it's our signature, proof that we created that bag just for you. You can touch the material, feel its texture, and understand what you're pairing with your favorite outfits. For the packaging, we've chosen only what's needed to protect the bag during the journey to your home. Handcrafted to the last detail, from the first thread to the opening of the box.
